HCA TALENT: STUDENTS WORK AT HOME TO CREATE ALL KINDS OF ART!

Kindergartener Elias used spray chalk to make his very own dragon! He then created a sword and a shield in order to slay the dragon. We love your imagination and your drawings, Elias! Keep creating! (Thank you, Cassie, for sending in these photos!)

Kindergarten student Kelsey got to use paint with her momma to create this "Happy Birthday" sign. Painting is so much fun! (Thank you, Angie for sending in your photo!)

James (K4), McKinley (1st grade), and their daddy worked hard on their chalk design! This is beautiful work! They are also working on making a piece with popsicle sticks, foil, and glitter in the below photos. Keep creating, James and McKinley!
(Thank you, Cara, for sending in your photos!)

First grader Brooklyn is having fun painting at home with her mom and little brother! We love it and we hope you keep creating, Brooklyn!
(Thank you, Shannon, for sending in your photo!)

First grader Liz is working on some paper mache with her big sister Andriah. These are so much fun! Keep up the good work, girls! We are proud of you for creating art out of something most people would just throw away. Beautiful! (Thank you, Andriah for sending in these photos!)

2nd grader Anali and 7th grader Carrington have been watching the "Home Safari" hosted by the Cincinnati Zoo. These are lovely drawings, girls! I thoroughly enjoyed watching every single one of these episodes, too: Fiona the hippo, the flamingos going for a walk, the Galapagos tortoises, and the giraffes. You both captured the animals exquisitely: the tortoise pattern and toe details are wonderful, Anali, and the drawing of the giraffe's face is excellent in proportion, Carrington! Keep creating!
(Thank you to Autumn and Carrington for sending in these photos.)

Josiah and Selah, grade 3, have been checking out the art resources I sent last week. They have done some beautiful drawings! Thank you, Deidre, for sending these photos in!

5th grader Samantha drew this lovely, high contrast image of a girl's face. Some say that people are the hardest thing to draw! I love drawing portraits, but I know it can be difficult to place each feature in exactly the right spot. This one is superb, Samantha and I am proud of you! (Thank you to Teresa for sending in the photo!)

5th grader Peter has been working on stop-motion animation! This video got a chuckle from me; thank you, Peter, for sharing your hilarious work!

6th grader Trey has been drawing up a storm! Fantastic work, Trey!

6th grader Kendall painted a bright, sunny picture of flowers. We love the simple beauty of this painting! Kendall had two photos place in the top 10 during our photography contest last week, too! She is a talented kid with a keen eye for beauty!

10th grader Andriah is using a paper mache technique to completely cover a wooden box with collaged bits of paper. The designs are beautiful and so is the technique! I am very interested to see what these will look like when they are completed - it takes a huge commitment of time to see a project like this through. Way to go, Andriah!

Here are some great drawings of familiar characters by 10th grader Emily. These are superb in detail, Emily! Thank you for sending in your creations; we all love to see your talent!

Emily has also been painting: these are some photos she sent of her latest canvases. The value and color gradations are really well done, and so are the cloud textures and "clean edge technique." These are such lovely and peaceful pieces!

Here are a few more of Andriah's creations: she has been painting, too! What excellent work you do, Andriah: these are outstanding! Thank you for taking the time to send us your work; it is a great encouragement!
