ART SHOW SNEAK PEEK!
Join us this Tuesday night for a fabulous evening of fun, music, and art! The band will play, the chorus will sing, and our very own Alexandria ("ABC!") will do a performance painting!
The art show will feature original paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media portraits, and ceramics by K5 - 8th grade.
7th and 8th graders took a trip through art history this semester, while the 6th graders learned about many cultures all over the world.

We went through nearly four boxes of clay this year in art class - that's almost 200 pounds of clay! Don't miss seeing the fabulous sculptures our 5th - 8th graders have been working on.
Also, we will be auctioning pots by Larry Allen (a nationally known potter who visited our school) and by Mrs. Nichols as a school fundraiser! These pots are fired but not yet glazed, so whoever wins them in the silent auction will get to pick their glaze color!
Proceeds from this Silent Auction will go to Heritage Christian Academy.
The chameleon pot is by Mrs. Nichols, the large jar, bowl, and vase are by Larry Allen, and the vase on the far right is by Mrs. Nichols. |
Larry Allen is seen here throwing one of the pots during his visit to HCA in February. We are grateful to Mr. Allen for sharing his story and expertise, and for donating these pots! For more information about his amazing artwork, click on this link: LA POTTERY |
We look forward to seeing you Tuesday night!
