Madison receives an award for her paper mosaic design. |
Alyssa Jewell organized a lovely art reception for us on Sunday at the library; complete with delicious treats, a story book about mural art, and she even took the time to praise the efforts of each and every student before giving them a certificate. Our student work is beautiful! The exhibit is on the main library hallway and will remain on display for two more weeks!
In order to select pieces for this show, Mrs. Nichols asked a panel of teachers to choose one artwork from each grade 1st - 5th and a few more from middle school. Thank you so much to Mr. Crawley, Mr. McGrew, Mrs. Mary Clark, Mrs. Manston, Coach Goodman, Mrs. Sapp, Mrs. Nesbitt, Mrs. Gunter, and Mr. Gurganus for helping to choose the pieces during the art show in May! Also, thank you so much to Ms. Melanie Posey, Mrs. Cheryl Ingram, Mrs. Joy Groce, and Mrs. McAdams for sharing their photos of the reception with me!
Congratulations to these students for their outstanding work! We are so proud of you! First grade; Alaya, 2nd grade; Londyn, 3rd grade; Ruthie, 4th grade; Peter, 5th grade; Juda, 6th grade; Maggie and Kaitlyn, 7th grade; Kendall and Diana, 8th grade; Andrew, Madison, and ABC.
