THIS WEEK IN ART CLASS: LOWER SCHOOL

First grader Londyn is working hard on a beautiful design!

We had a lot of fun in art class this week, from Kindergarten all the way up to 6th grade! Kindergarten and K4 students learned all about lines in art, 1st and 2nd grade artists finished up their "Frottage Collages," 3rd and 4th grades worked on some chicken drawings, and 5th and 6th grade students used space techniques to create imaginary environments! To see more about what your child learned in art class, please click on the grade level link!

All elementary students are using higher order thinking skills to invent, create, experiment, and design original art pieces. I am excited to see the amazing things they can imagine! In addition, we are developing communication and language skills as we learn art vocabulary. We also are learning about famous artists from history, such as Joan Miro (1st-3rd), Albert Bierstadt (5th-6th), and Franz Marc (K4-K5).
