HCA students, it is time for a photography contest! The theme is "Beauty in Surprising Places" and the winner will receive an Amazon gift card for $10!
Take a walk outside and see what you can find. God leaves all kinds of little reminders of His grace and love for us - do you see them? At this time of uncertainty, lets make the most of the time we have and share the beauty that we discover outside!
The top photographs from Lower and Upper School students will be posted here on the art classroom blog as well as the school Facebook page.
Mrs. Nichols will accept five photos per student for this contest and you do not need to currently be enrolled in art to participate.
Please send photos via email (before Monday, March 20) to annanichols@hcachristian.
Remember to stay 6 feet away from other people when you take your walk!
The best times for photographing outside are in the morning and late afternoon, especially if the sun is shining.
Get out and enjoy this amazing spring weather in your neighborhood! We can't wait to see the beauty that you find!
Psalm 8
1
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
in the heavens.
2
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
3
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
5
You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
6
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
7
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
8
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
9
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
